About Me
I grew up near London, but not quite in it. Close enough to the Thames to forget to always pay it the attention it deserves.

I had a stint in Birmingham, studying for my BA in Literature; although I am more of a writer than a reader these days, if I'm honest. And the writing just happens. In phone apps and notebooks, laptops and scrapbooks, it always just happens.

I then spent a decade working. I had fundraising and marketing roles that raised millions for cancer research, and support for cancer patients and their loved ones. Then a communications role that helped ninety-thousand employees reap the many rewards on offer to them beyond their wages. Throughout it all, it was the creation that I found exhilarating. It was the copywriting that I was most proud of. The thing I was most known for.

I stepped away from work when I had my first daughter, then stepped even further away with a temporary move to Ghana. Another daughter, and a few more years off.
During which time I wrote, of course. I wrote fiction for adults and children, I wrote freelance copy for local businesses and I even wrote poetry - though that I will keep to myself.

And that brings me here, now.
Enriched by an unexpected career break that brought profound personal and creative growth. Returning with greater confidence, drive and inspiration.
Ready to write.
I have an alter ego as a digital illustrator.
